Gym equipment

We always ask ourselves: what do we need in the gym in order for our training to be optimal? Beginners think: did they bring a good towel, are their tennis shoes good enough, clean enough for training, did they forget the lock for the locker, while more advanced individuals look to see if they have a high-quality wrist wrap or suitable tennis shoes for weightlifting. In today’s blog, we will list the equipment that comes in handy for any training, whether it is beginner or advanced.

Towel

Rarely today can we see exercisers without their towel. A towel is not only a necessary aid in the gym, but also part of basic exercise etiquette. It's always nice when you're greeted by a clean equipment, and towels are indispensable for that. It is incredibly important to bring one or two good, clean towels that will dry you, but also protect the equipment from excess sweat and dust that we can find if we find ourselves on the device after an irresponsible exerciser.

In the Gyms4You gym, you are required to have your own towel (especially for group training), and if you don't have one, you can buy one at our reception.

Clothing and footwear

During training, we sweat often and in large quantities, and as far as training clothes are concerned, it’s always a good idea to bring something extra. Whether it's an extra t-shirt, sports top, leggings, shorts or long sweatpants, a pair of socks or underwear, extra pieces of clothing will help us always stay fresh; during every exercise, at every time.
Additional footwear is also an essential part of training. It is extremely important to have good, comfortable and stable footwear in order to avoid injuries during training, especially when lifting weights. Also, the footwear in which we exercise should be durable, suitable for walking/running, but also frequently maintained.

In the Gyms4You gym, you are required to have clean closed shoes for indoor exercise in which you did not come from outside.

Technological aids

Most lovers of good training also like smart tech that will help them achieve optimal results. Smart watches are a great example of a training aid if you want to monitor your heart rate, number of steps, number of calories burned and other ways on your way to ideal shape.

Smartphone hand holders or smart jump ropes are also some of the aids that optimize and facilitate training if you like to monitor data and record your exercise. However, headphones are almost an indispensable part of personal equipment nowadays. Everyone likes a good rhythm of music to motivate them to train as productively as possible.

Gyms4You always loves music with training! Therefore, we recommend that you bring and use headphones if you want to listen to music or content other than what is played in our gym.

Additional equipment

We often forget to take some things with us that we might not have even remembered if we hadn't seen them on fellow exercisers; like sweat bands, workout gloves. Someone even forgets their bag or backpack! We recommend you to always carry a sports bag or backpack in which you can store everything so that you don't miss anything for an ideal workout: from your personal belongings while you exercise, chargers/portable chargers for your mobile phone or headphones so that even a dead battery does not disrupt the rhythm of your workout. You can store your bags in our lockers in the dressing room. However, please note that the lockers are not personal and that you should remove your belongings after training so that other fellow trainees can also use them. We recommend that you lock the lockers with a padlock during training. If you don't have it, you can find it at our vending machines.

Food and drinks

A bottle of water, even two, is a part of every training session. With constant exercise and sweating, it is necessary to always stay hydrated. Water will always come in handy to take a break and keep the energy needed for a good workout. If you also like to eat something, protein bars are a great way to restore energy and recover muscles.

In the Gyms4You gym at our vending machines, you can find water, protein bars, but also other various products such as energy drinks.

Other exercise equipment

Although optional, other equipment can help in various exercises, especially for more experienced and advanced exercisers. Professionals, as well as recreational training enthusiasts often carry their own equipment that does not seem necessary, but helps in bringing top results in most training, such as wrist wraps, dumbbells, weighted vests, ankle weights, bandages, elastic tapes, belts, and even shakers.

In the Gyms4You gym, you won't miss dumbbells or bands, but we definitely recommend bringing your own if you prefer those!

See you at the next training!
