How to Get Back into the Gym Routine After a Summer Break

The annual vacations are over and now is the perfect time to get back to workouts and regular physical activity. We hope that you managed to rest and recharge during the summer months, and that now you feel ready to return to your daily exercise routine and healthy habits.

Here are a few tips to help you ease back into the gym routine without any worries:

1. Take it Slow. 

When returning to your gym routine after a summer break, it's crucial to proceed with caution. Start at 20% of the intensity you were at before the break. Stick to a few exercises targeting different muscle groups and gradually increase the number of sets and repetitions because starting with high intensity right away risks injuries or overtraining.

2. Have a Plan. 

After setting your goals, it's important to create a structured plan to help you achieve them. You can plan on a weekly and monthly basis. If you're unsure how to create a plan, you can always consult with personal trainers to assist you in creating a customized plan.

3. Track Your Progress. 

Monitoring your progress is crucial for achieving your fitness goals. Without tracking, it's hard to know if you're on the right track towards your fitness goals. You can use a workout journal or tracking apps to make sure you're heading in the right direction.
